Despite usually causing mild symptoms, RSV may cause more severe infections in older adults, including those with certain underlying conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, or congestive heart failure.1
No matter how healthy older adults feel, the reality is immune systems weaken with age, which can increase the risk of infections such as RSV.

RSV, or Respiratory Syncytial Virus, is a contagious respiratory illness, that may be dangerous for adults 60 and up1 especially if you have pre-existing conditions such as asthma, COPD, heart conditions and diabetes.2 Not all fever are caused by flu, it may be RSV.3
JT:
It can lead to severe infections, even hospitalization.1 Sometimes, it can lead to death.4
JT:
There is no treatment for RSV in adults.5 Talk to your doctor to learn more about RSV.
